I found a useful site where you can schedule your post in advance. It’s handy if you’ve recorded something in advance and want to put the post together so it shows at a certain time. It also tells you the optimal time to post, which I think is based on examining the top 1000 posts and looking at what times they were posted.

I’ve noticed that my posts on the weekends don’t seem to do as well, though I don’t have enough data to say that concretely. I find that posts on weekdays that get posted around 2pm – 3pm are optimal. But again, that’s based on limited data.

Most people upload their recordings to soundgasm. The site is run by a redditor, I think. It’s very bare-bones and there have been instances where the site was down for hours or days. Alternatives to soundgasm include https://www.whyp.it/ and https://erocast.me/. Both of those sites have more polished layouts, but I don’t know the real advantages over soundgasm. I only upload to soundgasm but I’ve thought of including a link at one of those alternatives in case soundgasm is down.

Although most people are familiar with gonewildaudio, there are actually a number of other subreddits where erotic audio can be posted. In my experience, it’s easier to “stand out” on some of the smaller subreddits. Usually my posts kind of get drowned out on gonewildaudio by more popular VA’s. But, on the smaller subreddits, there’s less activity and it’s easier for my posts to gain traction. Here are some of the alternative subreddits:

/r/recordings

/r/gwapoetry

/r/gwacomedy

/r/audiochills

/r/gonewildaudiogay

/r/gonewildaudiotrans

/r/gwasapphic

/r/darksideplayground

/r/audiogonewild

/r/audiosgonewild

/r/pillowtalkaudio

/r/kinkypillowtalkaudio

/r/audioporn4chixxx

/r/vanillaaudio

/r/audiocandy

/r/GWNarrative

/r/GonewildAudible

Also, there’s a lot of useful info on /r/voiceacting, though it’s not a place that you can directly post your recordings.

Make sure you read the rules since they vary from subreddit to subreddit. Gonewildaudio allows two posts per day but many of the ones listed allow only one.

I read an interesting post that discussed the best way to post on more than one subreddit. First of all, if you make a post on one subreddit and then click “crosspost” or “share”, the way that reddit reposts it on another subreddit is kind of awkward and (in my opinion) clunky. When I’ve shared this way, I notice my posts have done poorly. So, I tend to create a brand new post when posting to a different subreddit. I’m not sure if it really makes a difference or not, but that’s what’s worked for me.

I also experimented with staggering my posts. i.e. rather than posting on a group of subreddits all on the same day, posting on one subreddit one day and then reposting to another subreddit in a few days and then another a few days after. There didn’t seem to be any significant difference in how well the posts did. So, I usually post to gonewildaudio, my profile and darksideplayground on one day and then I’ll post to a few other subreddits the next day. It’s been working out well. Posting to your profile is important because then the post will be visible to your followers. If you post to a subreddit that your followers are not subscribed to, they won’t necessarily see the post just by virtue of them following you. The only way that followers will specifically see your content is if you post to your profile. You can post to your profile by clicking “Submit a new text post” on the main reddit.com homepage and then selecting “Your profile” on the page where you enter the content of the post.
